Description

Designed from the ground up for Android, the “Marantz AVR Remote” app for Android Phone and Tablet devices will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over the latest generation of Marantz network AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below). A wide portfolio of useful features, nicely designed graphics and easy to operate user interface do make the app a useful tool to control your AVR.
Control the basic functions of your Marantz product with power, volume, input and settings. Have direct access to Smart Select and Surround Modes.
Network browsing is either done with the Marantz AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
With the Marantz AVR Remote, your Android device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience.

*3: The OS language setting is automatically detected; when not available, English is selected.

After the recent update : The web GUI now appears in big fonts, not so elegant....wish I can go back to previous style. Even rendering has visibility problem, as the first letter has disappeared behind the curtains! Also, wish all options available on the web should be available on regular app. Very useful, convenient to control the avr (Cinema 70s) without obstructing the ongoing TV viewing avoiding on-screen menu. Ignore minor glitches.

Finally figured out that my AVR (SR5015) could NOT be connected via Ethernet in order for this app to find the AVR on my network. Wi-Fi only. Works great in adjusting EQ on the fly without having to go into the AVR's settings during a movie.

Please fix the app! The receiver discovery workflow is slow and half of time not working when switching Wi-Fi networks/different receivers it's a complete mess. Please fix the discovery or add an option to manually specify receiver IP adresses

I bought my cinema 40 yesterday, and it is a great piece of hardware a 100% upgrade to my beloved yamaha RX 2060 but to say im disappointed with the app is an understatement, would this have stopped me paying £2500 for this? Please fix this app. This is a premium product let down by an embarrassing app. Also, the app does not show in my Apps list? FYI, I am only rating the app, do not let this put you off from buying Marantz, Mine as I said, cinema 40 is 100% perfect real quality.

This app doesn't work. It hasn't worked for a long time, and it looks very unlikely they will try to fix it. When it did work it was great. Disappointed seeing how highly I regard Marantz gear.
