I have had an overall decent experience with this app to calibrate an older Denon AVR-X4500H receiver. I have upgraded to a Marantz Cinema 30 and have not been able to get the app to find my AVR. I am hoping it will get an update so that my AVR can be connected. EDIT: I was able to connect the Editor App to my Cinema 30 AVR. After I had run Odyssey, suddenly, my app was able to see my avr. Unfortunately, I had re-run Odyssey through the app again, but no big deal.

App won't send to the receiver. But it will run the Odyssey part, and after I try sending the information to receiver and comes up with an error on the app. I wish this app worked, but it don't.10-25-2024, well deleted the app out of my phone and re-downloaded it just using my Wi-Fi at home. Thank you, Jesus, it works now. Odyssey multeq app does make DenonAVR-X4500H sound alot clearer. But now my Bluetooth don't work. So hopefully Denon or whoever works with the app y'all will fix my Bluetooth

It helps to stay away from causing interference during measurements and trigger the functions from a distance. The "after" curves generated look great, but I am unsure if that is the measured level after calibration or a target curve that Odyssey plans to achieve. Having calibration files with varied speaker layouts handy on the App makes it very convenient to push it to the receiver easily but remember to change the speaker layout on the receivers' menu before starting the App calibration

Totally useless. Downloaded the app (1.8.0) to my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and tried it with my Denon AVR-X3500H. It connected quickly with my AVR and correctly identified my speakers. Unfortunately it was down hill from there. I ran a test of three calibration runs. In between each speaker test I would get an error saying the app is not responding. I hit WAIT and continued. At the end of the three runs I looked at the results. The subwoofer trim level said -12 dB. Totally wrong and useless.

Nothing works with this app. First, it had me start over 20 minutes into set up because "outside noise" wa detected even though my place is very quiet. Then it randomly couldn't detect the subwoofer even though it played sound through it, and on and on always something new why it would have me start over. I'm giving up, waist of $20. Good luck getting this to work. Using a new compatible receiver and new speakers.
