Description

The latest Denon Marantz (brands of Harman) audio video products use Audyssey MultEQ for simple, accurate set-up calibration of your system to the room in which it’s used. But, now you can go further with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app, going ‘under the hood’ to view and adjust settings for detailed tuning – allowing you to customize the sound more precisely to the specific problems in your room, and tailor the sound to your personal preferences. With this comprehensive app, you can harness the power of Audyssey MultEQ to take total control of the way your home cinema sounds.

This app will allow you to:
•View the speaker detection results, to check correct installation
•View before and after results of the Audyssey calibration, making it easy to identify room problems.
•Edit the Audyssey target curve for each channel pair to suit your tastes
•Adjust the overall EQ frequency rolloff for each channel pair
•Switch between 2 high frequency rolloff target curves
•Enable/Disable midrange compensation to make the sound brighter or smoother
•Save and load calibration results

This app requires specific hardware in your product to function: please double-check that your Denon or Marantz model is supported - see list below - before purchasing.

•Multi-Language Support (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The OS language setting is automatically detected; when not available, English is selected.)

I didn't have a single problem with this app, nothing like many of the negative reviews here. My receiver is connected to the network via Ethernet so that may be why. The whole process of calibration using the mic took less than 10 minutes and uploaded first attempt. After that I was able to tinker and tweak with the settings at my pleasure and then uploaded to the receiver with no issues whatsoever. The receiver was throttling my speakers, now they sound amazing. Night and day improvement!

I was skeptical at first given that a lot of people mention stability issues, finally tried it out today. Had to run the Julissa again, turned off midrange compensation, did a slight lower bass boost around 20-30hz and a kick boost around 50-60hz and voilà, the system sounds much more balanced (Denon 1800x + Triangle Borea speakers + Google Pixel 6 pro phone). I recommend this. Why 4 stars? Heck I bought the AVR for €650 in the EU, this software should be part of that package, not an extra €20.

It helps to stay away from causing interference during measurements and trigger the functions from a distance. The "after" curves generated look great, but I am unsure if that is the measured level after calibration or a target curve that Odyssey plans to achieve. Having calibration files with varied speaker layouts handy on the App makes it very convenient to push it to the receiver easily but remember to change the speaker layout on the receivers' menu before starting the App calibration

This app is so badly designed that it should be used as an example. Local files can't be read Subwoofer level too high, adjusting a tiny bit, app no longer hear it at all. Calibration crashes. Half an hour spend doing 7 runs, on the 8th lost connection to the receiver - start for scratch! Impossible do edit anything at all in the app due to animations causing something like a lag. Just not doable. Just come on. Listen to hundreds exact complaints like mine and do something with finally.

Each time I ran the Odyssey setup on my AV receiver using the app, all of my speakers were set to a volume level of -12 dB.

Used to work well, now it is unable to calibrate my Denon receiver. As others pointed out, it connects to the receiver but at the first speaker calibration, throws an error: "Can not connect to the AVR"
