Marathon Legend is a pixel-art running sim about the unglamorous part of greatness. Wake up, train, sleep, repeat. Watch your Speed and Endurance climb. Then find out on race day whether the work was enough.

THE DAILY GRIND
Every day you spend Stamina on Speed work, Endurance work, or an easy Zone 2 session. Sleep to advance the day, restore Stamina, and roll the dice on random events. Skip too many days and Atrophy quietly eats your stats.

READINESS AND INJURY
Readiness drives both your training gains and your injury risk. Push through a red-flag day and you can tear something and lose a week. Recover with an Ice Bath, or work your way back with the rehab mini-game.

RACE DAY
Pick a race on RaceNet, choose a pacing plan, and go.
EVEN - steady drain, no surprises.
POSITIVE - go out hard and pray.
NEGATIVE - sit back early, then hunt everyone down.
Speed sets your pace. Endurance is your health bar. Hit zero and it is a DNF and an injury.

WEATHER AND GEAR
Heatwaves cook your endurance. Snow and storms wreck your pace. Buy shoes and kit that counter specific conditions, and repair them in the Closet before they fall apart mid-season.

RIVALS
Race AI rivals with real personalities, not filler. Front runners burn the first kilometre. Closers stalk you and kick at the end. Beat them and your ELO climbs; get beaten and it does not.

BUILD YOUR ROOM
Upgrade from a cramped studio to a real estate. Wallpaper, floors, beds, rugs, arcades, posters - every piece adds a permanent stat buff, and you can drag them anywhere you like.

THE LONG GAME
Sponsors text you contracts and missions as your ELO rises.
Daily Missions and streaks pay out for showing up.
The Infinite Track (2,000 ELO) has no finish line - run until you collapse, 1,000 Credits per kilometre survived.
Seasons (3,200 ELO) reset your ELO but permanently boost every payout.
Retirement (3,500 ELO) sends you back to Day 1 with a stacking Legacy Trait.

AND THE WEIRD STUFF
Ricky the bookie will text you increasingly unhinged side-bets. A stray dog might move in. And if you drink far too much Squid Race Gel, something happens that we are not going to spoil here.
