Markdown Viewer Editor is a writing workspace for Markdown documents. Open a file you already have, start a blank page, edit the source, and read a rendered preview in the same app. Use it for personal notes, study pages, meeting records, project readme files, checklists, and technical documentation.
Markdown Viewer Editor can start you from a ready template. The templates are Simple Notes, Meeting Notes, Daily Journal, Project README, Study Notes, Task Checklist, and Technical Documentation. A blank document is also available. Every template is ordinary Markdown, so you can rewrite any line after you insert it.
The editor toolbar inserts headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, bullet lists, numbered lists, task lists, quotes, inline code, fenced code blocks, links, images, tables, and horizontal rules. Find and replace helps you revise a long page. Undo and redo stay with you while you write. The status line shows the word count, character count, line count, and the cursor line and column.
Preview in Markdown Viewer Editor can sit beside the editor in a split layout, or you can switch to a full preview. When live preview is turned on, the rendered page updates as you type. The preview shows headings, lists, quotes, code, tables, and other common Markdown.
Markdown Viewer Editor keeps a history of documents you have opened. Search that history, then sort by name, last modified time, or file size. Remove an item when you no longer need it. Deletion can ask for confirmation before a history item is removed. Document text is handled on your device. The app does not upload your Markdown documents to a developer-operated server. You choose files through the system file picker.
Save the current document, use Save As, or rename it and continue later. Supported file types are .md, .markdown, and .txt. A file manager can open those types in the app, and another app can send text into the editor. Export writes Markdown, plain text, HTML, or PDF. Share sends Markdown source, HTML, or plain text through the Android share sheet. You can also copy the Markdown source or the rendered text.
A built-in guide inside Markdown Viewer Editor places Markdown syntax next to a preview. Check headings, lists, links, code, and quotes while you learn the format. Settings include a light theme, a dark theme, or the system theme, plus editor font size, preview font size, a monospaced editor font, line spacing, the default opening mode, a default file name, and confirmation before delete.
An internet connection is required before you can enter and use Markdown Viewer Editor. Turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data, then continue. The app shows App Open advertisements when you come in, and interstitial advertisements after main actions. Banner, native, and rewarded advertisements are not part of this app.
Preferences such as theme and font choices are stored on the device. History metadata, including display name, modified time, size, and the file reference you authorized, may also be stored locally. Delete history items in the app, clear app data from system settings, or uninstall the app when you want that local data removed. Advertising choices, including the advertising identifier, can be adjusted in Android system settings where that control is available.
Markdown Viewer Editor is intended for lawful personal, study, and work writing. You are responsible for the documents you open, edit, export, or share. Read the in-app Privacy Policy to see how local files, history, preferences, and advertising data are handled.
Open Markdown Viewer Editor when you want one workspace to draft, revise, preview, export, and share Markdown writing.
Home offers shortcuts to open a Markdown file, create a new document, review recent items, jump into preview, import a text file, and open the guide. If a document has unsaved changes, the app asks before those changes are discarded. A large document may take a while to render.
