Had the same issues of it not connecting to phone. Figured it out, in order for the scope to work you got to turn of data including roaming if on then go to Wi-Fi and connect it will say device connected no internet, open app if it's not open already you can now select video or camera. If you can't see anything adjust the zoom because if you to close it will show a black screen, white etc. play with the zoom, focus on some writing first before something smaller

IDK why everyone else has issue with this app, I mean I wish I didn't have to use an app to use the microscope. As far as the App goes it does what it needs to & stays connected even when I switch apps or change my screen. This microscope App is used almost weekly in my home, we use it for getting splinters out mainly. My 8 yr old son has had a blast looking at fruit, dead bugs, spiders, leafs, have had fun last 3 yrs w this.

Why does it keep saying unsecure connection? I had this a few years ago with a different magnifier, and it worked fine, and now it won't even keep up with the moving of the magnifier and won't stay hooked up. Any help would be appreciated.
