This essential app should be pre-installed on every android phone. Playing movies while your phone is on mute is guaranteed not to make a sound. I can now browse Reddit early in the morning or late at night without movie clips suddenly making a noise and waking my wife despite the phone being on silent. It does not mute your alarm clock. Why is it asking for permissions to look at all my stuff? Used to be good. I don't remember it asking me this last time I downloaded this app. Well, never mind, it's all moot since I can't see why a Mute app would need to do this. I just need 'Mute all sounds' as a widget, so I can add to home screen. Do that without need for access to any sensitive info, and I'd buy in a second! Samsung S9

I had to open the app every single time I set the phone to silent or else it wouldn't run. Then I might as well just manually mute media instead, so I uninstalled the app. Love the idea, though, so will go looking for a similar app that actually works on my phone.
