An useful and user-friendly add on to my scooter trips

The only thing that this app is capable of is to open. I tried numerous times to properly connect my e-scooter, but each time, it will only "kinda" connect. No light control, no geolocation, no mode charge. The app just does not work. It is useless

Practically, the app is broken after a recent update. It now refuses to start without a permission to make phone calls. It claims this access is necessary for maps to work, but stops completely instead of just disabling maps. No further explanation is given and without it, I am very reluctant to allow access to something sensitive that it should logically not require, which renders the app useless.
