Do you ever wonder if there is some rhyme or reason to how you think? How often are your thoughts focused on troubling topics, the past, the future, or memories and imaginative thinking? Mind Window helps you to track the way that you uniquely think and discover how these patterns of thought may affect your well-being.
Mind Window is part of a scientific research project, developed at the University of Arizona, to develop a large international database of thoughts in daily life. The purpose of this app is to identify patterns of thought by asking questions about user’s thoughts at random moments throughout their day-to-day life.

This app is not very well optimized for Android. I want to be able to participate in studies and learn more about myself. But the app has no dark mode and none of the contents are visible in the default mode that the app displays. Edit: After I posted about the bugs in this app, their developers immediately contacted me and solved my problem very quickly. I am very happy about the new update and how it has changed the UI on my device. Kudos to the developers for being actively solving problems.

I may only be talking to a cell phone, but the app provides a comfort in order to verbalize the ups and downs. Technically I experienced problems receiving sound notifications using a jitterbug and analog phone

App will notify it has survey for me and then when I go to the app only minutes after notice, I get message there is nothing. Others times it never gives an alarm sound to notify me, I just see the notification in my cellphone notices an hour or more later when the notice has expired. I am deleting this app.

Survey to set up account is WAY too long. The daily check-up feature that pings several times a day is broken. Even when responding to the check-up notice within 5 seconds, I almost always get a message that the check-up window has expired. I am checking the notice itself not the app. One time I got into the check-up window, and discovered that the survey questions were so extensive that I gave up. I really wanted to use this app to help, but it is just not functional, and I will uninstall it.

Incredibly intrusive set of questions that are mandatory before even trying the app. I might have entered everything after trying the app for a while, but there's no way I'll do it up front. I have to think this severely biases the research by selecting out all sorts of people

I can't even create an account. Each time I attempt a username and password I get an "invalid email" pop up. If I switch my username to my email address I get the same pop-up.
