MoonEase: Sleep Sounds+Stories

MoonEase is a sleep sounds app and bedtime story player for grown-ups: rain, water and fire sounds, gentle stories, and a timer that fades out.

200 bedtime stories, 112 of them narrated, including a Caribbean Nights collection. Box breathing is free. No ads.

It plays with the screen off and with no connection, so a quiet night does not depend on a signal.

SOUNDS FOR SLEEPING
• A hand-picked set of sounds is stored inside the app and plays offline from the moment you install it.
• Eight sounds play offline: Light Rain, Heavy Rain, Stereo Rain, Rain + Waves Blend, Bubbling Stream, Stormy Lake, Fireplace and Soft City Hum.
• Premium adds Calming Stream, Night Air, Soft Forest, Campfire, and Night Creek as protected downloads that keep working offline too.
• Blend up to eight layers and balance each one, then save and rename the mix.

A TIMER THAT KNOWS WHEN TO STOP
• Set a sleep timer and it fades down gently rather than cutting off mid-breath.
• Free timers run up to 30 minutes. Premium timers run up to eight hours.

BEDTIME STORIES FOR GROWN-UPS
• Begin with the free bedtime stories, then a wider library of slow, low-stakes stories written to be dull in the kindest way.
• Many stories are narrated, with the narration built into the app. The rest can be read aloud by your phone.
• Long stories run around seventeen minutes and go straight into the scene, slow enough that you drift off before the end.

BREATHING, IF YOU WANT IT
Follow a breathing pattern with a moving guide and a quiet spoken intro, so you are not counting in your head. Box breathing is free, and 4-7-8 and coherent breathing come with Premium.

QUIET BY DESIGN
No ads. No autoplay video. No streak to keep up. Mixes, favorites and settings stay on this phone, and anonymous usage counts hold no names and no content. An optional bedtime reminder is the only notification MoonEase will ever send.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Free includes eight offline sounds, one sound at a time, a set of sleep stories, box breathing, favorites, nightly progress, backup and timers up to 30 minutes. Premium adds five approved downloadable sounds, eight-layer mixing, ready-made mixes, long timers, the other breathing patterns, the full story library and premium themes. Premium is $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

MoonEase is a relaxation and sleep-sound app. It is not a treatment for insomnia or any other condition.
