Moonmic: Snore & Sleep Talk

Keep your phone by your bed overnight and Moonmic records only the moments with sound, like snoring or sleep talking. In the morning, see how many times, when, and for how long.

ONLY THE MOMENTS WITH SOUND
When you start, Moonmic measures your room's background noise for 30 seconds; steady sounds like a fan or air conditioner become the baseline. Anything louder is saved as a short clip with a little time before and after, so storage stays small. Three sensitivity levels: Loud only, Normal, or Quiet too.

SNORING, TALKING, HOUSEHOLD NOISE AND OTHER
Each clip is labeled Snoring, Talking (sleep talk), Household noise (dog or water) or Other; sorting happens on your phone. Teeth grinding is recorded too but not identified separately, so it appears under Other. Household noise clips are left out of the morning totals. You can fix a wrong label, keep clips as favorites, or export them as files.

MORNING SUMMARY
See how many sounds were detected, the time with sound, time by type, a chart in 30-minute blocks and your time in bed (from when recording started to when it stopped), all on one screen. Play the loudest sound right away or go through your clips loudest first.

NIGHTLY HISTORY AND TAGS
Look back at past nights on the calendar and tag what happened that day — alcohol, a late meal, feeling tired, caffeine, a stuffy nose — or create your own tags.

SLEEP SOUNDS
Fall asleep to white, pink or brown noise, nature sounds like rain, waves or a campfire, or piano and lullaby music. Ambient, strings, guitar, lo-fi and meditation music require Unlock all features. Set the sleep timer to 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes; the sound fades out over the last 60 seconds. After it ends, Moonmic measures the room and starts recording, so the sound you played stays out of your recordings. Or record right away with no sound.

STOPS AT YOUR WAKE TIME
Set a wake time and recording stops there automatically. To stop earlier, press and hold the Stop button.

Recording, sound sorting, the morning summary and last night's clips need no purchase. You can open your last 3 nights, and clips are kept for 30 days (favorites longer). Some sleep sounds are included too.

YOUR RECORDINGS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
No account needed. Recordings and history are stored only on your phone and are not sent to our servers; the only recordings that leave your phone are clips you choose to share. In Settings, Clear records deletes just the recording files or all of your history. Usage statistics and error reports can be turned off in Settings.

GOOD TO KNOW
• History doesn't transfer to a new phone or into device backups, so export clips you want to keep beforehand.
• Deleting the app also deletes your recordings.
• If you bought Unlock all features, tap Restore purchase with the same Google Play account to get it back.
• Sounds near your phone, including a partner's or pet's, may be recorded, so let anyone sleeping nearby know before you start.
• Recording runs all night, so keep your phone on the charger.
• A notification stays on while recording. On some phones, battery saving can stop recording at night; the app shows how to exclude Moonmic from battery optimization.
• Contact us from Settings → About → Contact us; recordings and history are never sent with it.
• Moonmic records and logs sounds during the night. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you're concerned about your sleep, talk to a doctor.
