Description

Discover Attractions
• Browse through 600+ attractions in Victoria’s State Forests using a map view or a list view.
• Search for a specific track, trail or site you’d like to visit.
• View track, trail or site details such as: when the track is open or closed, activities available at the location including difficulty levels and duration, track quality details, directions to the location, a local map, GPS guidance, download for offline use, and the ability to leave feedback.
• Share and favourite track, trails or sites. You can access your Favourites from the Favourites mode on the Explore tab.

Offline viewing for use at all times
• Up to 15,000km² of offline maps of your choice can be made available for offline use when you’re out in the wild and away from an internet connection.
• When viewing a specific track, trail or site, you can tap the Download for Offline button to quickly download an area covering that location.
• All downloaded maps will be saved to your device, accessible from the More tab or the My Maps mode on the Explore tab.

Read up on handy tips and advice
• Get access to preparation tips, safety guidelines, vehicle access, State Forest information (responsibilities, use), dogs and battery life advice.

Permissions Explanations
More to Explore uses multiple Android permissions to provide some features.
• Camera, Storage, Photos, Media, Files permissions are all required for the Feedback feature, allowing you to take a photo or upload a photo from your camera roll to submit along with your feedback.
• Location permissions allow us to plot your location on the map and the Emergency Location Feature in the More tab.

Great app, some good 4wd tracks and hunting spots. Still plenty of areas missing. Would love to be abke to see your location on the map while using the app to give perspective on where yiu are.

Excellent app for discovering new locations. The map which can be filtered by activity is perfect for finding new locations. And the details within the activity are so detailed - walking tracks grades, detailed descriptions of features & facilities, photos and directions. Parks Victoria could really learn a lot from DEL PW....

Very useful when it works. Currently, the map is not loading at all. Have cleared data, installed/reinstalled but can't get maps back. Would rate 4 or 5 stars otherwise. Thanks for the response, seems to be working now!

I'd been trying to find a map that clearly shows state forests and parks and associated trails vs the National Parks for ages- as I have dogs who I want to adventure with. This neatly solved the problem.

A really good start, but 3 major issues: 1. Doesn't show national park data. Parks Victoria should be forced to contribute to it; this app shouldn't be siloed into one Department. Users are in the State of Victoria, not in one Department only. 2. Maps lose detail when the hunting overlay is selected. This should be an easy fix. 3. Can't rely upon it for hunting areas to be accurate. It's published by the Government, should be fit-for-purpose, but they'll prosecute if you rely on it?!

I can't seem to find a key to this map? The green areas are state Forrest? National park? Need different color coding and a key, so you know what your in?

The mapping is absolutely atrocious. The state Forrest boundaries maps and very mediocre at best. Once you select hunting as an activity there is very little if any detail about tracks, 4wd track walking tracks etc. which makes definite state Forrest border location extremely difficult. The maps need walking and driving track overlays. Offers very little if any support to law-abiding legal hunters. Terrible app.

Unable to find any filters for firewood areas. There is filters for hang gliding but not for maps of firewood collection areas. For every person hang gliding their must be 1000s of people who use wood for heating due to no gas availability or money to install solar. App targeted towards city based residents? A lot of scenic points of interest are not mentioned at all.
