Rewriting review after about 5 months of using. The app is just great and awesome! ❤️ No need to sign up for cycling classes, just use MOWL. But, There are some bugs when switching between the song. One of them, if you opened MOWL while you were listening to your own Spotify Playlist, MOWL Playlist won't be aligned with the exercise at all. Switching back and forth between song doesn't help, only restarting the ride helps. Overall feeling - I want to donate money but don't see an option. 🤑

If you want to do properly designed workouts on your bike, without an expensive subscription, this is great. Most workouts have music attached too. If you're an indoor cycling instructor, this is the perfect solution for designing and delivering sessions without sweaty notebooks on the handlebars etc. Can use heart rate, power or RPE as intensity marker, select cadence, timings etc. Essential piece of kit for instructors.

Magene sensors stopped working after last update. Also, sync to strata is not sending cadence data anymore

Idea was good but can't connect to Spotify when you start a workout. Can't pause or stop a workout. Workouts are based on length of the song which is not how intervals should be made. Too bad bc UI was great too.

Nonsense UX, the smartphone app needs to be bright screen on during the while studio class despite the same data showing on the studio screen. The FTP% pumping/emptying circles are annoying, they add visual noise that's not useful. Just show the % value, at most a color, that's enough. Also, a bit dumb: the Mowl app won't connect via Bluetooth to my Garmin watch that broadcasts my HR. The indoor bike can receive my watch HR, but the Mowl app won't fetch my HR from the bike either.
