I don't understand the poor reviews. Using it for 1.5 years as a contractor, doing hundreds of jobs (have made $14k), I've never had any major issues with it (or the business). It's simple to use. The only unfavorable thing is how long it takes to upload before and after pictures. I've never timed, but I think it typically takes 10-15 seconds to upload each picture. Just frustrating waiting that long to upload before you can submit the next picture.

It's a great app, so I can't bring myself to give it 4 stars. It's great for the customers, & great for the contractors. MSP only takes a small administration fee, so basically the Shoveled gets the entire bid price. The only issue is that if the customer doesn't recognize how long a job will take, or if they choose the wrong job type, the contractor has really no way of knowing that until they arrive, especially if the customers instructions are vague & without directional photos.

14 dollars to drive 22 km and shovel the snow. I can make more walking into a restaurant and picking up and delivering a door dash or Skip the dishes. Oh and on top of that you have to supply salt for the ice as well. So after gas and salt, you make about 5 bucks for a job. I think I'll skip the dish anyway of the week before I do this. Customers never tip, even the ones with a million dollar homes. The owners of this company definitely take more than their share. I don't recommend.

Used to be a great app to add to your lawn mowing routes, until they started low balling contractors. This could be a 5-star app if you start paying contractors fairly for the work they are doing.

It's not worth the struggle. The app glitches when you escalate a job, and a supervisor responds, and you mark the job complete, your account doesn't show new jobs. I keep getting a lot of notifications that jobs are posted but my map says none available. The same red message when my account wasn't yet activated. I lost a day worth of work from escalating one job, and now I don't know if I'll be able to work tomorrow when the snow stops. I thought it was amazing at first. Now I realize it's not
