I really enjoy my Mr Cool mini-split in my work shop. Being able to pe-set the temp before the start of a project is super convenient.

I'm loving our new A/C our old one broke, and this time around I wanted a smart unit. My elderly mom lives In a small cabin it works wonderfully with alexa! Mom can't see the remote well, but she can ask alexa whatever she wants it on. Because she is always freezing she turnes it on heat 80 °F, so here is where the magic comes in, I get notified that the temp was changed. I can wait a few min, and turn it back to cool 77 (which is the hottest that I allow her.) she won't even notice Brilliant!

Love the ability to control Mr. Cool from any location with my phone. So like when I plan to do some work in the shop I can start cooling down the shop before I get there. It saves power by knowing the temperature and making the right adjustments beforehand.

The unit has a major connection related bug. If Wi-Fi is lost, it reverts to the last "Comfy" settings stored locally and ignores temperature changes from the standard remote. Restoring the connection appears to be the only fix, but it is not straightforward at all. The standard remote should override settings stored by the USB Wi-Fi dongle whenever a new command is received, allowing local control even when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

So many problems with the app. Schedule work 90% of the time. Temp set to 78 keep cooling down to 75 some time I just shut it off

Complete trash, don't buy Mr Cool. It doesn't even know the current status of my mini split even though it is able to control it. And it can't even control all the features of my unit, which is a brand new 5th generation mini split. The temperature calibration doesn't work at all. It's pretty amazing how bad this is.
