It's wonderful being able to transfer all my photos, old cassette and CD recordings onto My Cloud Home, then access them wherever I am in the world.

Just lately (2/19/26) the app is doing weird stuff. I have several Albums in .flac, mp3, mp4 format. Now "my home app" on my phone wants to open them, so I'm going back to VLC and see if it continues.

UI is horrible. For 2026, there's no download progression bar, it can't play Apple videos (really?) the share feature is horrible (why can't I share to apps if it's my cloud, on my Wi-Fi, on my phone) and it only lets you send a viewable link. Not to mention the search feature is awful (no parameters to search by, and they discontinued Google uploads. Now what used to be easy is even more difficult. Do better WD, you all raised the prices on all your stuff and your software is stuck in the 2000s.
