Description by Mystic Mobile Apps GPS Tools(from Google Play)
GPS Odometer is an application which allows you to measure distance. It might be useful during driving a car, running, walking or even doing gardening.
You can also record more than one trip to record multiple data. What's more, out application counts for burned calories.
Remember! - Do not try to test the application by pacing around in the same small area. - Satellite based GPS location does not work well indoors or near large structures.
Many apps use network based location because it does work indoors, but it is not accurate enough for use with this app. If the location icon is not solid in your status bar, that means your PHONE can't acquire a satellite GPS fix in that area.
Features: - Share your trip with friends and family - Works in the background with simple notifications showing time and distance - more accurate comparing to other apps - includes pause/resume for each trip - each trip can be started separately - includes a blocking system which prevent from clicking by mistake - includes displacement - approximates distance travelled in some GPS dead spots such as driving through a tunnel by adding the as-a-bird flies distance to your trip. - added simply changing views from distance to calories
Options: - choose between average or current speed - receive notifications at given distance intervals - receive a notification to turn off after no movement for some time - keep screen awake - 4 coordinate formats: - DMS degrees, minutes and seconds sexgesimal - DMM degrees and decimal minutes - DD decimal degrees - UTM Universal Transverse Mercator
Distance units include: - kilometers - miles - nautical miles - meters - feet
Speed units include: - kilometres per hour - miles per hour - nautical miles per hour - meters per second - feet per second
Our app comes with a brand new application for watch devices with Wear OS. You can easily make all measurements without using your phone and synchronize data afterwards to enjoy viewing your saved measurements on a bigger screen!

I use this app every time to record walks with my dog. It's very quick to start, pause or stop. Distance, my speed and time taken are important to me. I like also to record notes about the walk afterward.

I need to be able to calculate the area using this app and also plot the track on a map. I have enjoyed the accuracy of the various distances I measured. Or could you suggest an alternative app to accurately measure the area and plot on a map the given tracks.

I was looking for a simple but accurate GPS/Trip/odometer and this app
nails it!!
★★★★★A Google user· Aug 26, 2018
My criteria were a basic app to track my running distance. It's simple, seems to be accurate, so totally fits the bill.

Very good for my purpose. How can I improve on accuracy to + - 5 metres?
★★☆☆☆Neil Hobbs· Aug 28, 2025
Free version works ok, and although I don't mind ads the advertising takes over my phone and gets in the way of actually using the app. Other GPS apps preferred.

This app hangs when started to record trip and my phone signals lost
★☆☆☆☆Thomas Hodson· Nov 22, 2018
I used to love this app on my old Samsung, but it is worthless on my Pixel 2 XL. It is drastically inaccurate, underreporting distance. I hoped the recent update would fix this, but instead it has gone from useless to massively irritating. Turning it on makes my phone constantly repeat a ringing sound -- brrring, brrring, brrring. Is it sounding off every time it pings a satellite? This is about the most irritating app ever. Simply AWFUL!!! .

Did not work on Samsung Galaxy J3. WAY under actual distance driven. Seemed like app had to get on Wi-Fi to serve you add before would even work. Also, a battery hog. Done here, uninstalling.
