As a foreign person working in Australia, I found the app very easy and intuitive to use. I needed to redo some extra data while filling the claim form and the system saves everything, saving a lot of time for the user.

The app automatically signed me out for some reason. So when I needed access to my Bupa card I had to sign in again - got to the verification stage where they say they will send me a code. No code forthcoming after a 20-minute wait (still hasn't come through). I had to pay cash and will now have to submit a claim for my money back. What's the point of the app if you cannot get into it, so it can serve its main function. It's not only me either as the receptionist expected a delay.

This was a good app, but they messed it up by adding a PIN. PINs are insecure—they're difficult to associate with a purpose, so people will ultimately use the same PIN for numerous apps. This app always had 2FA and used the phone's built-in security, which together with a password, which can be uniquely created with a password manager, are gold standard security. But a PIN? Whoever decided to enforce that doesn't know anything about security, so now I'm concerned about how safe my Bupa data is.

Update: 4 yrs after last 1 * review & the app is worse! It's constantly crashing & kicking me out, then there's looping sign in security code authorization anytime I go into the settings, which I'm doing to update contact details that won't save... & I haven't even looked at the new layout or attempted a claim! Please Bupa you need to do better for members. Your policies are expensive & other insurers give money back to members (e.g. Median & AHM) pls try to encourage us to stay with Bupa!

It was OK till after last upgrade it didn't work at all, can't see anything after log in, only able to check policy or preference. The app just gets worse, after every update ask me to login but keep kicking me out, asking for codes and then saying reach maximum code sending have to wait for 10 minutes
