It's an app, but requires Google Chrome and in reality just helps you log into the website. If you are going to make it just launch a website, make it work with the system browser. Monopoly-enablement is dangerous and irresponsible. If you are already making us download an app, give us an app. This is the kind of garbage juniors would get taught to never do in more mature software engineering fields. Not acceptable from a government.

Application incompatible with any modern phone I have. Should buy a ¥100000000 new phone every month to have the privilege to access on a governmental service ? How many Japanese are excluded by these stupids limitations ?

I keep getting this error:" The password/PIN for the user authentication for your Individual Number Card is locked. If you can use the password/ PIN for the digital signature for your Individual Number Card, you can initialize it using the smartphone app "PKI PIN reset" and the convenience store kiosk terminal. Conversely, you can visit your local municipal office to unlock your password/PIN. (EA0040-0038)" I don't understand why I can't just reset my pin in the app.
