Not too many features for this app and connected to ID4 2024 in Canada/US. Europeans have more access to car even using home assistant. Almost useless, except temperature adjustments. The plague of loosing connection still goes on. Dealers do not do anything. The customers service department -harshly speak english I think they exist only to register the issues. The car beeps all the time when not having connection, very intelligent design. But is the peoples' car, so we pull the fuse to fix it.

Good, but could use some more features like other manufacturers (like scheduled remote start or remote climate control). Glad that the new update made the app startup time shorter and overall perform better. Would be nice to have widgets like some other manufacturers as well, just for a quick glance at information like remaining fuel/distance, etc. Looking forward to more functionalities being added. Otherwise, works pretty well and bug free so far on my 25 Tiguan.

There are months when it works great and there are months when it doesn't work at all. My vehicle was in an accident and no alerts went off at all. When I'm sleeping my son would test it out, and I wouldn't get notified if he's gone into the car. I feel like it works when it wants to

Since the most recent update Nov 2025, remote start won't work. Doors are constantly showing as unlocked and the CarNet is not even connecting. I can't even unpair and re-pair my phone to the vehicle. It is "pending". PLEASE FIX AT LEAST THE REMOTE START. AB Winter without the remote start sucks!!

At the rate the ID4 is going. I'll never buy vw again. This car loses It's connection when it's too hot (30c) or too cold (4c). Doesn't have option to lock or unlock the car via app. When the car decides to be dumb which is the majority of the time, I can't start climate control to cool or warm the car. What's the point of this electric car with "smart" features when it's dumber than my sales guy Sandeep Heer who was at Zionville VW. One of the keys stop working and under 2 years. Go buy a non-VW

2024 Taos, and the app every time it's updated there is an issue. Calling support via the App always ends in, you need to have the equipment replaced/repaired. Recently after confirming connectivity is fine, but losing the ability to lock/unlock doors, Remote start, etc. is a huge pain. Perhaps VW could learn from mistakes like Crowdstrike and properly Alpha and Beta test with volunteers who know when the update will happen, and to give feedback, rather than push fixes to everyone???
