This app is brilliant. The optics may be a bit old school, but the functionality is superb. Aside from anchor alarms, Ais alarms and everything else my moored yacht is now sending me a sms from another country every 3 hours: wind speed, depth, distance from the mooring position I set in centimeters, gps position. All it took was a $69 smartphone and a spare sim card. It will also sms me if the boat drifts outside my set range or the depth is below what I set the depth alarm at. Apart from that it just works buy the premium version It's like $6. You can also set it up to send that data over internet in real time! Support these guys their email support is excellent as well, and I only needed their help because I could not find the chart manager. Tip the menu is a pull down screen and chart manager is near the bottom. Well done.

Doesn't work It crashes every time I open the app. I've tried with nexus 5 and nexus 7 with same result.

SeaWi requires too many permissions, won't run without them. Even with the superfluous permissions granted the app crashes before it opens. Useless.

I have been looking at many bits of navigation software for a tablet and paid for a premium license. There is no depth or bouyage information on the charts. It is not suitable for sea navigation. I requested a refund, and was declined. I am pretty sure that is illegal in the UK as we have advertising standards. How does this get 3.6 stars when Avionics gets 4.1, and you can navigate with Avionics?! SeaWi has 10K downloads at £4.50 ... someone is happy. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR NAVIGATION AT SEA.

Charts? Uh....where? I downloaded this app this morning. I paid $3 for a Caribbean chart from the in-app purchase. After a download of several minutes I now have a "chart" that shows roads and NO marine info. No depth, nothing. It's not a chart. Why did they charge me money for "chart?"
