Notification History Keeper

Swiped a notification away too fast? A message was deleted before you could read it? Notification History keeps a private log of the notifications you receive, so you can look back at them anytime.

WHAT IT CAN AND CANNOT DO
• Saves captured notifications after you turn on access: app, title, message and time
• An app removing a notification does not prove that a sender recalled the message: it may simply have been read
• Optionally saves reduced previews and large icons supplied in notifications. Cannot recover missing originals, voice, video or notifications from before access was enabled
• Needs notification access, which phones in low-memory (Go edition) mode do not allow for any app

KEEP EVERYTHING
• Every notification is saved with its app, title, text and time
• Chat notifications are saved message by message
• Notifications that were dismissed, or withdrawn by the app, stay in your history

SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED
• A dedicated entry groups notifications removed by their app by app and title
• Open a group to view previously captured context with the same title, not a complete chat. Different contacts with the same title may be combined
• App removal is only a system status, not confirmed message recall

NOTIFICATION PREVIEWS
• Optional local previews: up to 1080 px, 50 MiB total; large icons: 96 px, 8 MiB total. Oldest images are removed at the limit
• Images are excluded from cloud backup. Previews are deleted with their record; large icons shared by the same app and title are cleaned up after the last record in that group is deleted
• Existing users have image saving off until they opt in; turn it off anytime to stop saving new images

FIND IT FAST
• Timeline grouped by day, or browse by app
• Search titles, text and app names: verification codes, tracking numbers, addresses
• Copy, share or jump back to the app in one tap

CHECK RECORDING STATUS
• A status line on the home screen shows “Recording · latest 3 minutes ago”
• If the system disconnects recording for hours, you get a notification to turn it back on (Android 13+ asks for permission to show it)

YOU ARE IN CONTROL
• Choose which apps to record, or pause recording anytime
• Keep history for 7, 30, 90 days, 1 year or forever
• Skip ongoing notifications such as music and downloads
• Export everything to a CSV spreadsheet
• Delete one notification, one app or everything

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Notifications are stored locally and excluded from cloud backup
• No internet access, no account, no ads: the app does not upload notification data over the network
• You can choose to export CSV, copy text or share through other apps
• Android may transfer local data to another device, depending on the system and your settings

Good to know: the app can only save notifications received after you turn on notification access. If an app hides message content in its notifications, only what is shown can be saved.
