Text Editor: Markdown & Notes

A clean, fast text editor for notes, to-do lists, Markdown documents and any plain text file on your phone. No ads, no permissions, and your words don't get lost: auto-save plus a version history of your last 20 saves. Everything stays on your device.

NEVER LOSE YOUR WORK
• Auto-save as you type, and when you switch apps
• Version history: go back to any of the last 20 saves, or to the text as it was when you opened the file
• If another app changes the file while you are editing, you choose: keep mine, reload, or save a copy. Nothing is overwritten silently
• Clear the history any time in Settings

WRITE
• Markdown with live syntax highlighting: headings, bold, lists, checklists, links, code and tables
• Formatting toolbar above the keyboard, and lists that continue automatically when you press Enter
• Undo and redo, pinch to zoom the text, line numbers and word wrap
• Light and dark themes, with default, monospace and serif fonts

PREVIEW AND SHARE
• Preview Markdown, including tables and checklists, in one tap
• On wide tablets in portrait, edit on the left and see a live preview on the right
• Export as HTML, or print and save as PDF
• Share as text or as a file

OPEN ANY TEXT FILE
• Open .txt, .md, .json, .csv, .log, code and config files from your phone or from other apps
• Detects encodings such as UTF-8, UTF-16, GBK, Big5, Shift_JIS and Windows code pages, and saves files back with their original encoding and line endings
• Find and replace with match case, whole word and regular expressions
• Go to line, and document info with word count and reading time
• Big log files: files over 2 MB open read-only with search and go to line, up to 200 MB

ORGANIZE
• Your notes and recent files on one screen, with the important ones pinned to the top
• Search names and full text
• Auto-save as you type

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No permissions at all, no internet access and no account
• No ads
