Description
National Tracheostomy Safety Project (NTSP) is a charity dedicated to improving the care of patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies. Patients often have complex needs and are cared for in increasingly complex environments and unfortunately, complications can occur. This App details the published emergency responses to tracheostomy emergencies that have been advocated by the NTSP and supported and endorsed by our partner multidisciplinary organisations.
The App includes interactive algorithms featuring videos to guide and train responders and directs users to appropriate resources.
The NTSP works closely with patients and professional groups to help improve care. Please see www.tracheostomy.org.uk for more details. The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative www.globaltrach.org also houses many relevant resources for healthcare staff and patients and their families.
