SAFETY SERVICES RIGHT ON YOUR PHONE
Get family safety services — Roadside Assistance, help in a crash, family locator and Emergency Services — with the OnStar Guardian® app. No matter where you are, we're with you and your family – in any vehicle, even on your motorcycle. Eligible OnStar Members receive the OnStar Guardian app as part of their plan. A standalone plan is only $15 a month. Plus, you can share the app with up to 7 friends or family members at no additional cost.
FAMILY SAFETY THAT GOES WHERE YOU GO
Mobile Crash Response • Crash detection that can send for help automatically • Smartphone sensors can detect a car accident and alert an OnStar Advisor • Help in a crash in any vehicle — or on your motorcycle
Roadside Assistance • Don't get stranded. Get help on the road, jump a dead battery, get assistance with a flat tire — you can even get fuel delivered or request a tow • Roadside Assistance for any vehicle or motorcycle
Location Status • Togetherness when you're apart. The family locator that lets you share and save real-time locations, view a live map, even send departure and arrival notifications
Emergency Services • Help when it's needed. The red Emergency button provides priority access to an OnStar Emergency Advisor 24/7 • Get specially trained assistance with medical issues, severe weather and more — all while our Advisors send First Responders to your exact location

Roadside services provided by third-party providers. Roadside services are for passenger vehicles (cars and trucks) and motorcycles only. Limitations and restrictions apply. Towing services can be used four times per year then additional charges apply. Additional charges apply to tire changes when a spare tire is not provided.

A huge thank you to the OnStar team for the exceptional service I received. From the moment I called, the representatives were kind, patient, and genuinely concerned about my safety. Even though the towing company failed to provide service, OnStar stayed in contact, checked on me, coordinated with AAA, and made sure I wasn't left feeling alone while stranded. Uninstalled the app because it keeps crashing. Was kicked out of the app yesterday. Then when I log back in I keep getting an error message saying it cannot configure on my device please try again. Did all the troubleshooting and app still won't work. So the app is uninstalled on my device. Error code 20020 if that helps. UPDATE: I reinstalled the app on my device, and it is working!!! 😀 I do not know what the problem was, but it is working great now!!! Thank you!!!

Onstar is generally GREAT! No issues using the service and comforting to have it on hand. What I dislike is that GM (and Onstar) has embedded most common new car features in your GM car as a subscription product! Almost every aspect of your vehicles safety systems (and entertainment) require a hefty monthly subscription if you want to keep them all active.... again it's a great service but has become bloated full of... and in control of about every feature you hope to enjoy in your new car!

I've tried several times to re-add my wife and daughter to my family coverage when I upgraded my cell. I send the link, they complete the process, and they don't add. However, I've been able to add my son. I've sent a message and haven't received a response from OnStar Guardian. Calling the phone number doesn't connect beyond an electronic noise.

Lots of time the app doesn't update location, and sometimes not for days.

Error code 20020 can do anything need a tow it's been a week keep crashing I've tried everything only way I can make a payment if u log in, and I can log in or do anything the second month of this app not working
