Writing this on FUTO keyboard. I still don't understand why past me risk both privacy and losing features by using Gboard, when this is superior in all aspects. Imagine being a trillion company struggling to add the input method that half of a country used.

What is the best keyboard? I tried Gboard, Swift key, Multiline O, even Gr8ly Custom Keyboard. My winners are FUTO and Keyboard Designer (aka Custom Keyboard Designer). I use both. FUTO has all the features: undo/redo, arrow keys on main keyboard and a hidden custom layout mode. See the FUTO website for details. I used it to create a wide key keyboard with 7 wide keys per row instead of the usual 10 too narrow keys. I used Keyboard Designer to make a similar but more compact keyboard (fewer rows).

My main beef was data deletion stated in Googles description. I accidently deleted my original post. After 53 days FUTO wanted $11 and some change. Not enough time for a true evaluation. Got buggy when I clicked 'maybe in the next century'. Give AnySoftKeyboard a try and disable all the Google Garbage possible. Including AI, Voice and other distractions that steal your valuable time. You'd be surprised at your focus when you don't use inaccurate voice typing or AI for vague and biased answers.

After the last update the issues with the typing have become even worse. I've already sent the feedback on these issues previously to the support via the app's settings, but with this update the keyboard fails to leave the screen completely getting stuck at the bottom, sometimes it crashes and other times it is plain out refuses to type (the suggestions appear, but the text is not). I need the old version I've installed initially about 1.5 years ago. Too bad I don't have a copy of that...

Nice if you care about privacy but probably the worst possible text prediction in existence, it gets nearly every single word wrong and autocorrects to the wrong word, I will never use this worthless app ever again.
