I have played many Othello/Reverse games on websites and applications but Othello Quest is my favorite to play. Gameplay is easy, the automatic pairing is very consistent. I really like the ratings' system, of course starting out it can be confusing but after playing over 100 games. It became easy to interpret. I like the fact that some of the previously played games can be viewed again. So when you make a mistake, it is retrievable. However, I did notice that not all the games are visible.

I have finally learned to accept and LIKE the quirky matchmaking of LIVE opponents- it's just part of the game. I think it's a matter of perspective. Othello Quest is a great EQUALIZER - I can beat 1800 or 1900-rated players anytime if I stay focused & play well. As a matter of fact, I am beginning to enjoy playing Othello Quest again, and I'm winning big over and over. My ratings are consistently up and strong. Comparatively speaking, Othello Quest is still the best thus far.

This is the WORST and DISORGANIZED and NONSENSICAL online Othello game that I have ever played! I have caught players CHEATING and messing with the countdown clock! How can 4 sec become 8 sec ? The clock went to 4 sec again AND suddenly the clock JUMPED back to 8 seconds!! RUBBISH GAME! The players' matching system is RUBBISH. VERY DISORGANIZED! It's just STUPID! How can you match a 1600-rating with a 1795 or 1800 or even 2300-rating?! TERRIBLE game!

All the best players are playing here, so it should be 5 stars. But their rating system is broken BECAUSE Quest chooses the opponent -> Tons of new accounts start playing every day and "steal" more than 10 points per game as soon as they are in the green or blue region. Later they all end up being "red". Please either change this or else disallow very strong players to make hundreds of accounts !!! Taking away Dan's is also not appreciated by most players as to my knowledge!

Othello Quest is one of the largest othello (reversi) servers in the world with lots of beginners as well as world class players.

Even if you are a beginner, you don't need to worry.
There are very weak bots on the server anyone can beat with ease, so you can start from there and as your ratings improve, you can go on to stronger bots or other human players.

You can also play a non-rated game with your friends.

All features are available for free.
