Pagehear

Pagehear reads your own documents aloud, and none of them ever leave your phone.

Add a PDF, an EPUB or a text file and your phone reads it to you, with the sentence it is saying sitting on the screen. Playback continues with the screen off, with controls on the lock screen, and a sleep timer that stops at the end of a sentence rather than mid-word.

Even scanned pages play. pagehear recognises the text on a photographed or scanned page entirely on the device, so old paper documents and image-only PDFs work too.

TRY THE AIRPLANE MODE

Turn on airplane mode, import a scanned page, and press play. It works, because everything happens on the phone: reading, recognition and speech. Pagehear has no server and no account, and the app makes no network connection of its own.

WHAT IT DOES

· Reads PDF, EPUB, TXT and MD files you import through the system picker.
· Recognises scanned pages on device, offline.
· Plays sentence by sentence, so skipping and resuming are exact.
· Continues with the screen off, with lock-screen controls.
· Lets you tap any word to start reading from that word.
· Offers speed up to 3x, pitch, and a sleep timer.
· Works in 24 languages, and reads a French document with a French voice.

FREE, HONESTLY

Every document you import plays in full, for free, forever: unlimited documents, scanned pages included. You never need to pay to listen.

PAGEHEAR PRO

· Export any document to audio files you keep.
· Bookmarks and notes, exported your way.
· A saved voice profile for every document.
· All four design languages.
Cancel any time from your Google Play subscriptions.

WHAT IT IS NOT

Pagehear does not read protected books you do not have the right to use, and it respects the copyright of whatever you import. It is not an audiobook store: you bring the documents.
