Passpulse Password Check

Passpulse is a password check-up. It opens on a strong new password and tells you, for any password you type, whether it appears in known data breaches and how hard it would be to guess.

HAS THIS PASSWORD LEAKED?
• Passpulse checks a password against the Have I Been Pwned list of passwords exposed in public data breaches.
• Your password is never sent. Passpulse sends only the first 5 characters of the password's SHA-1 hash, and compares the matching results on your phone.
• If the check cannot be completed, for example when you are offline, Passpulse says so. It never shows a password as clean when it could not check.
• A clean result means the password is not in that list. It does not prove a password is safe, so use a different password for every site.

HOW STRONG IS IT?
• A strength meter scores the password and estimates how long it would take to crack.
• Warnings explain common weaknesses, such as dictionary words and repeated patterns.

A BETTER PASSWORD IN ONE TAP
• Generate a random password, or switch to a passphrase of words that is easier to type.
• Choose the length with a slider and tap New password for another.
• Copy it, or save it as a login in your encrypted vault.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Sign in with your Google account and choose one master password. Anything you save is encrypted on your phone before it syncs, and the server only stores data it cannot read.
• Perlicom cannot read your vault and cannot recover your master password.
• Screenshots of the app are blocked.
• No selling data. Nothing you type or store is ever used to target advertising.
• A Google AdMob banner along the bottom of the main screens, and now and then a full-screen ad after you tap Sync now, pay for the free tier. No ad appears on an unlock, a password prompt or autofill, and nothing in your vault reaches an advertiser.

• A full password vault, with fill-only autofill, two-factor codes, payment cards and identities, is in the side menu. It is the same encrypted vault the Pearl browser uses.
