The Peoples Wave banking app needs improvement in the “Save Favorite Beneficiary” transfer section. Currently, when sending money to a saved favorite beneficiary, the app automatically selects the first beneficiary in the dropdown list by default. This creates a serious risk—if a user forgets to manually change the selection, money can be transferred to the wrong person by mistake. This should be redesigned so that no beneficiary is auto-selected by default. The dropdown should remain blank.

As a Sri Lankan customer currently residing in Singapore, I find it challenging to manage my fixed deposit account with People’s Bank due to the absence of a representative office here. For overseas customers, procedures such as premature withdrawal of fixed deposits require physical presence or costly Power of Attorney documentation through embassies. This makes banking inconvenient and expensive. I kindly request the bank to consider introducing secure digital solutions such as remote identity
