Extremely disappointed with the new version of the app - it's missing an abundance of features from the prior app and shouldn't have been deployed in its current state. It's clunky, buggy and barely usable. Had to downgrade. I absolutely love Plex, but not this new app. EDIT (5/29/25): recent updates have helped make the app a more usable, and some of the prior app's features are starting to port over. Downloads work but TV series/episode options are still unavailable.

You can't use the app and watch any movies on your Plex server when you have no Internet cuz it needs to be authenticated with login.

I'm a lifetime pass Subscriber for quite a few years. I've watched as they removed features that were standard, broken apps on some, or all, devices, pushed awful streaming services literally no one wants, and polluted everything that made Plex worthwhile to begin with. PlayStation app doesn't support tone mapping properly, the fire stick app just doesn't work at all after the latest update, and even the Windows app is sluggish after the update, which is completely unreasonable. Get jellyfin
