Built for scouts, hikers, campers, and anyone who wants to be ready when the trail gets real. No connection required for the core reference — it lives on your device.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Read a full survival manual, offline
Original outdoor-skills chapters covering survival basics, first aid, fire, shelter, water, navigation, knots, weather, and outdoor ethics. Quick-reference cards for the Ten Essentials, Leave No Trace, the STOP method, survival priorities, tool and fire safety, first-aid patient checks, and using a compass.

• Identify what you find — on your device, offline
Point your camera at the wild and get a best-guess ID that runs entirely on your phone, no signal needed:
- Plants — matched against 2,000 common North American species, with edible-parts and toxicity notes
- Insects — ~950 common species, with edibility and danger flags
- Fungi & Lichens — high-accuracy on-device model, with deadly look-alike warnings
- Animals — fish, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and birds
- Clouds — name the sky and read the weather it brings
- Rocks & Minerals — answer a few field-test questions (hardness, streak, acid) to narrow the match

• Navigate with no signal
Offline map, compass, and bearings to the nearest water, trail, road, and high ground. Download offline map packs over Wi-Fi before you go. Drop waypoints, record a breadcrumb track, and find your way back to the start. Maps © OpenStreetMap.

• Get intel tuned to where you are
Field Intel gives you location-aware guidance: climate and live weather, the most abundant edible plants, what to avoid, and dangerous wildlife for your region and environment. Live Local Intel shows species actually recorded near you, and the Wildlife Map plots animals, birds, and plants observed in your area — drawn from iNaturalist and GBIF records. Live weather from Open-Meteo. Your coordinates stay on your device.
