I have tested all podcast apps out there (seriously), and this is the only one that checked all the boxes for me. It's amazing.

It's the closest to a Google podcast replacement I can find, but some issues: 1) major: the inbox is only scanning a subset of my podcast subscriptions for new content. I have to manually go into each one to help it remember. Then it suddenly shows the new episodes in my inbox. 2) minor: no way to skip to the next podcast from the player. Lot of stuffing around in the interface. 3) minor: just in general there are too many times I need 2or3 clicks to do something that should be doable in 1

Heard that Google Podcasts is going away, so I'm trying to find a replacement that doesn't require me to be a tech guru to make it work. This is the best I have found. Intuitive interface with the controls I need. I tried some of the other podcast apps, and they had me wanting to pitch my phone at a wall. Not Precast. I like it. It does what I need, and it does it well. Long may it continue.
★★☆☆☆
Cannot play any podcast saved to my playlist. When I click play, nothing plays and the episode is removed from the playlist. Reported the issue and received no response. Look for a better app, or at the very least a functioning app.
★★☆☆☆
I got this to download podcasts on Wi-Fi, so it would not use mobile data at work. I turned on the option to only download via Wi-Fi, and turned off background data. Despite this, to my great shock, when playing downloaded podcasts, not only did Precast use some foreground data, it used a lot, in two days 113Mb, several times more than even the Wi-Fi data for downloading the podcast. I stopped using Pod bean because it had used 20Mb in a week. I can assure you I will be deleting Precast.
★★☆☆☆
Close to the interface I'd want, but still so much missing. Like not being able to mark episodes as played, which is absolutely basic functionality
