Description
Productivity Challenge Timer is a Pomodoro timer which aims to help you be more productive, more focused, waste less time and so on, you already know all that stuff.
What this app is about is challenging you to work and study harder and tracking your work habits. You'll earn/lose ranks depending on your performance, earn achievements and track your productivity over time, so you'll know how long you worked on what and during which days of the week and hours of the day you're at your most productive.
Now here's a few things you should know before downloading:
- This is not an organizer. If you can't keep track of what you're supposed to be doing, this app is not for you. The app includes tracking of projects so you know how much time you spent working on each of your clients/books/websites/whatever - like a time sheet, but it's not meant to be an organizer or a to-do list.
- This app is in English only. No translations are planned for the foreseeable future.
- This app will not let you pause work sessions or finish them early, so if you have a tiny baby-sized bladder and you need to pause every few minutes, this app is not for you. The shortest work session you can set is 10 minutes and you're not supposed to be interrupted. Also because I use this app too, and I'd be the first to abuse that pause feature to go look up useless nonsense instead of getting work done.
- The purpose of this app is not to promote a healthy work-life balance, but to get you to work harder. Because of this, it does not recognize weekends or holidays or parenting or any other excuse to take time off, and it will demote you if you start slipping. Please don't expect the app to validate your goals, its sole purpose is to make you work harder, even when you shouldn't.
- If you want to use the app with the screen off, make sure it's been exempted from any battery saving apps/features your device may be using.
That's it, thanks for reading and I hope you find this app as useful as I do.
Recent changes: - "Stay Away" mode, so people can't pretend not to notice you're working - two new achievements, one free, one pro - you can now wipe work stats from within the app if you want to start over - some bug fixes - Android SDK update

I love how honest and witty the app is. It's design shows how the developer actually uses it too: It's not bloated, has a simple theme (I actually LOVE the pure black background), and has very nice images/digital art. The ranking system and stat logs helped me go from studying for about 1hr and 15 min (25 min per session) to 4+ hours (45 min per session) per day, depending on how much free time I've got. It's also the only thing that helped calm my hyperactive brain down and actually get work done.

UI is good, humor is funny and has personality, work data is used to create daily / weekly / monthly / yearly averages of how long you work for, work data is used to create a heat map of your work consistency, average pomodoro completions is used to promote or demote your ranking title, a few achievements to encourage you to work until you can tap into innate motivation, customizable pomodoro timer, 5 stars for a free app!

The best productivity app I've ever tried, have been using it for a long time, and I always installed it if I had access to another phone Highly recommend it for effectiveness in any kind of work

No watch notification. Im not sure how this app has survived this long without a watch counterpart but here we are. However, more questionable is how the alerts on this app refuse to even come through on a watch. Its like this creater has no idea what working in an office is like. Having a discrete notification come through on your watch is required. And he can't do that. Devote two pomodoro to fixing it. it's been years.

App producer is a $$ grubber. I used the app much earlier and unlocked all ranks(udarnik) and achievements (in free trial). 4 projects back then. I did it over 3 YEARS. I was 😊. So uninstalled. I changed my phone twice, so I lost the backup. Years later, I decided that I would reuse app again to rebuild my productivity. I reinstalled it, didn't have backup so decided to start clean. Just how many features did you lock in your stomach for all that cash?! You could have left all ranks open, no?!
