I have seen a lot of negative reviews on here and don't normally leave reviews but so far the app and the charger have been really good. I agree the initial connection isn't explained very well, but the videos on the Project EV YouTube are very helpful. One thing you need a password to change settings like max current in app, and it isn't given anywhere. I emailed them, and they emailed straight back that it is six zeroes. So far so good.

I cannot enable the warm-up function in the app. The charger consistently fails to restart charging. The charger unit will not work with my variable tariff electricity supply (Intelligent Octopus) and my car fails to charge during the off-peak period. All other settings are as per recommendations (plug and play). Colleagues of mine have the same set-up and with the warm-up function enabled, it works perfectly! Why won't warm up function enable!!!

Simply doesn't work. Won't connect to charger and keeps asking for permissions the app already has. Luckily the charger works without the app and my car has its own remote charging functions. The requirement for a bunch of contact and personal information from the homeowner AND installer is also really weird...

Like others, I have also had limited success with scheduled charging to the point last month when it failed completely and would start charging immediately regardless of time set. I was advised by support to use Electric Miles until a new version is available. Electric Miles can at least set a scheduled charge successfully but other than that It's not very good. I've downgraded to 1 star as I was advised the app would be fixed months ago, but it still cannot schedule a charge successfully!

This has to be one of the worst EV companies. App does not work, so I have a plug and play charger what a waste of money. Steer clear of project ev they should be ashamed of this app
