I maintain a healthy 8% over the course of 5 years using Prosper. This app is nice, and the automation for investments is fairly easy to use. One thing is seen a lot of people fail in is focusing on the amount of $$$ to invest in a note, rather than the quantity of notes. I have a fairly balanced portfolio between all ratings, and see healthy returns. I also only invest the minimum in each note. Not putting your eggs in one basket and diversifying is 101 stuff, and I think people forget that.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD Do not use this app. It's totally FRAUD. They took my money and I waited for the term of the investment to be up. Now that the funds have matured they won't change my banking information, so I can withdraw them. I've emailed them multiple times included ID bank statements everything, and they still won't make the change. Use Stash or Robinhood if you want to invest not these thieves.

Horrible place to invest. Absolutely no liquidity! Depending on which loans you are funding, your money is tied up for 3 to 5 years at a time. With the way the economy is right now (very high personal credit default rate), many of the loans default only a few payments into their loans also. Prosper takes all the late fees and any money collected from a defaulted loan even though you are taking all the financial risk as well which is beyond unfair. This may not even be legal!

The App works well. But the rate of return is awful. I invested since 2022 I have had over 100 loans with a total rate of return annually of 3%. With interest rates so high, a high yield savings account gives better returns with zero risk. They say the default/charged off rate is low on the website, but that doesn't account for loans that are in default being sold off to third parties where you will never recoup anything from them. The investment is not worth the risk
