I have been advocating this card to people I know. No need bank account, very fast, no minimum balance restrictions, can withdraw money in the end if needed, etc. All these features beat the others. I have been using it in Japan for a month. BUT! Last night I just transferred S$1K to make a conversion. My bank shows the FAST transaction was done. No reversal. But until this morning, the money did not come into my RHB Travel FX S$ wallet. Finally, I decided to call the customer support. 1) There is no indication of how to contact customer support in the app. 2) The customer care is based in Malaysia, which is fine. 3) They saw the transaction, but also that the transaction had a FAIL message. They couldn't tell me why or whether it is my bank's fault. 4) They say they have gotten a lot of complaints about this. 5) They can only file reports and have the Travel FX team get back to us on Monday. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I cannot believe this. They want to offer this service in Singapore, as a bank working with VISA, converting money for users in Singapore. And they do not have 24-7 support to answer the question of where is my money? If I gave my best friend $1K, and he is supposed to give me back Japanese yen, but suddenly he goes off with my money without any sound, imagine how pissed I would be. I asked for escalation because of the absurdity of this, and yet it was impossible. Believe me, I pushed hard. Credit to the customer care person who was helpless, but tried her best. As a company though, they have failed. The product is good, but the support that is set up is now proven to be horrible. I am not just saying they should scrap this. I am saying with this kind of attitude in how they set up for the service, RHB should pack up and not do business here.
