Rio is a new way to get around New Braunfels. We’re an on-demand microtransit service that’s smart, easy, and reliable.
When you’re ready to travel, book a ride in the Ride the Rio app and our technology will pair you with other people headed your way.
Whether you want to run an errand, visit a friend, or need reliable transit to recurring events (work, appointments, etc.), this service will get you there!
HOW IT WORKS: - Book a ride on your smart phone by setting your pickup and dropoff addresses, and indicating if you’re riding with any additional passengers. You may also call a booking agent to book your trip over the phone. - You will be given an estimated time when the vehicle will arrive upon booking your trip. The estimated arrival time of the driver will be automatically updated as your vehicle makes its way to meet you. - We’ll give you an automated text or push notification when we’re nearby. - When your driver arrives, please promptly board the vehicle. - There may be others on board, and you may make a few additional stops along the way! You can track your ride in real-time from the app.

Love that New Braunfels has this! I use them once a week and never have a problem. The drivers are always nice and vehicles are always clean.

I took The Rio to get home from work since my car is broke right now. And I was very surprised, enjoyed it and the ride was comfy and smooth. I will definitely be taking it again. And the driver Eric was polite, friendly and a great driver!!

Over 50%of the time I book a ride there isn't a car available. Or when I do get a car it's 30 m to 1 hour + wait

Glitchy app. I put in correct destination address, and it autocorrects to a different location. Wasting over an 1 hour and 30 minutes of my time for a ride that should have only been 5 minutes.

It wouldn't take my destination and kept changing it to another Genesis Medical Group office. Also, can I set a pickup time? The helpline gave a message, then hung up. Also, can I book an hour before my ride?

Give you a time then pushes it back 30 min to an hour, call customer service a suprise they outsource to another country where they barely speak English. Made me late for work twice when I was supposed to arrive around 30 min early
