We love this app. It is such a useful tool when birding, and it works offline for those trips to the middle of nowhere. It has the same beautiful illustrations that the book has, but it also has photos, which sometimes helps a lot to identify birds. There is also a lot of additional wording with extra info on each species, similar birds, distribution, your own lists, and, of course, bird sounds. We inly wish we had the same app for other fona and flora.

Fantastic app, well worth purchasing! I love the Roberts app, it's very user-friendly, has very comprehensive information about the birds found in Southern Africa, and has loads of different functions. I find it a very easy way to keep track of my sightings, and I find the bird call recordings very useful. I had a minor issue with the app when I swapped to a new phone, and their team resolved my issue very quickly. I highly recommend this app to anyone interested in birding!

My app has been working perfectly ever since I bought it, about 18 months ago. Today I did the update to Roberts 2, and now it doesn't hold me sightings. I can tick the sighting, but when I go out and come back into the app, it has not saved the record. I have "multiple sightings" selected as well as the setting for "report to my list". Also, I cannot edit a sighting. And I cannot select a sighting list per bird, (I am clearly missing something). This app is not functioning at all.
