SCAM the entire Rosetta Stone company is a scam now. They have you pay for your subscription, then they remove features and put them in a new tier. They even cancel lifetime subscriptions, and they never upgrade the lifetime subscriptions. They are breaking the law and scamming customers. These apps shouldn't be allowed on the play store. I'm looking into a lawsuit that could go class action. Don't waste your time and money here. Use a competitor.

I'm a lifetime member of what they now call "classic". You can't use your normal log in here. This new upgrade is an excuse to distance themselves from the promise made to lifetime membership buyers. I get it from a business perspective... if you have no problem losing a user base that once saw your value. Clearly, they don't. Am I interested? Sure. Will I support a subscription based system that is heavily priced? Doubtful. Maybe if they gave us a choice to upgrade our lifetime membership over.

Rosetta Stone Sapphire feels like the old Rosetta Stone repackaged into a subscription model with a slightly rearranged interface. I tried the trial and honestly noticed almost no meaningful difference. No lifetime option, no upgrade deal or loyalty pricing for existing lifetime users either. I already own lifetime Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, Babbel, and Memrise, and Sapphire gives me no reason to switch. Add real AI conversation, active recall, spaced repetition, and true innovation.
