Rotmeter: Block Reels & Shorts

Count every reel you scroll, live, and block reels and shorts when you hit your daily limit.

Rotmeter is a reel counter and reels blocker for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, Snapchat Spotlight and more. A small floating bubble shows how many reels you've watched today, right on top of the app. One reel turns into 50, then 200, and the evening is gone. Now you see the number while it happens, and you can stop.

This isn't screen time. It's every single reel, counted.

🧠 WATCH YOUR BRAIN ROT
Your brain starts fresh and smug. By 25 reels it's buffering. By 150 it's rotting. By 250 it's fully cooked. Seeing the damage happen makes doomscrolling easier to quit.

🛑 BLOCK REELS & SHORTS AT YOUR LIMIT
Pick a daily reel limit from 10 to 500. Reach it and a wall blocks reels and shorts until midnight. No subscription needed to block.

⚔️ BATTLE YOUR FRIENDS
Send a link, they tap it, you're battling. Fewest reels today wins, and the board resets every midnight. Scrolling less is easier with a rival.

⚡ KEY FEATURES

📊 FLOATING REEL COUNTER
Today's reels and watch time, live inside the app you're scrolling. Drag it anywhere, make it tiny or big.

🚫 REELS BLOCKER AND SHORTS BLOCKER
A daily limit that actually stops the scroll in Instagram, YouTube and the rest.

📈 SCROLL TRACKER AND PROGRESS
Hourly and weekly charts, total reels, time spent, and every app ranked, so you see when and where you doomscroll.

🏠 HOME SCREEN WIDGET
Your reel count and your brain's mood, one glance away.

🎁 REELS WRAPPED
Every midnight, your day as a short story: total reels, your peak hours, how often reels pulled you back, your scrolling personality and how you did against your week. Share it in one tap.

🔔 NUDGES
A heads-up before you hit your limit.

🛟 NEVER STOPS QUIETLY
If counting stops (Accessibility switched off, or your phone stops the app to save battery), Rotmeter tells you, shows since when, and turns it back on in one tap. Guides for Xiaomi, vivo, Oppo and Samsung keep it running.

👁️ HIDE THE COUNTER
Drag the bubble to the bottom to hide it for 1 hour, the rest of today or 1 day. It keeps counting.

≈ ESTIMATED COUNTING
Not ready to allow Accessibility? Rotmeter can estimate your reels from time in reels apps, marked with a ~.

✦ ROTMETER PRO (OPTIONAL)
Strict mode locks your limit once you hit it, bedtime block turns reels off at night, and full history keeps every day. 3 days free. Counting, the bubble and the daily wall stay free.

📳 FEELS GOOD
Hand-tuned haptics and motion. Every reel lands with a little tap.

WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who wants to reduce screen time on short videos, break a reels addiction, focus while studying or working, or just sleep instead of scrolling at 1 am.

WORKS WITH
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, Snapchat Spotlight, TikTok, X, Threads, Moj and Josh.

Count your reels.
Watch the rot.
Stop in time.

🔒 Accessibility permission
Rotmeter uses Android's Accessibility Service API only to notice when you swipe to the next reel in the apps you choose. It is needed to count reels, show the floating counter, and block reels and shorts at your limit. It never reads your messages, never records your screen, and what it sees never leaves your phone. Estimated counting uses Usage Access only to know which app is open, on your phone. No ads. Anonymous usage stats and crash reports help us fix bugs. Signing in is optional and only used for battling friends.
