Great online service. It's pretty easy to use the app and find a sitter you like. You definitely have to do the meet and greets though, so you can get a feel for whether it's a good fit. My only complaint is that there's not a good way to find a backup sitter. If you're using someone weekly it would be good to have back-ups lined up...but many sitters don't want to be a backup for some reason. I also think the rover fee should be a little less for 5 day a week weekly services.

Very easy to operate app. Had two very good experiences with people watching over my dog, without any hassle or worry. Dog sitters are vetted and also have reviews on their page, plus a menu of everything they offer. There is always also a chance to see the place where your dog will be cared for and to meet the sitters beforehand. For me, it's a no-brainer, if I need my dog cared for and there is no family member that can help!!

I was a long time sitter nd supported of Rover over the years. I had recently came back to the site as a sitter and all the rules had changed for sitters. I needed to get a new I'd because I had just moved so I did so I could activate the account through strip and the day I send all my info in and spend money i didn't have to get the things I needed they deactivated my account. And it's not reversible this is a horrible way to treat people who have worked for your site promoted your site.

My wife and I happily used this app for ten years. We got a new dog from the humane society, whom we were told was safe with children - but he would occasionally nip. Used pet training on rover, selected the "biting/nipping" option. Rover shut off our accounts for choosing that option. We rehomed the dog, and appealed. They refuse the appeal. No explanation on why. No instructions on what is needed to reactivate. Morale: Don't trust Rover, don't look for dog training, or they will kick you off.
