Sing Intervals: Vocal Trainer

Hear it, sing it, see how close you are.

Sing Intervals is a vocal trainer for singers, choir members and solfège students. The app plays a starting note, asks you for an interval ("Sing a major third up"), listens to your voice and draws your pitch live on a semitone grid, with the target band right there. Then it tells you, in cents, how close you were.

GRADED THE WAY A TEACHER WOULD
• Only the steady part of your note counts: the attack and a scoop at the start are left out, and a natural vibrato is averaged
• Cents from the target (sharp or flat), how steady you held it and how long it took to settle
• In tune, close or not quite, with a hint when you sang the right note in the wrong octave, the start note again or in the wrong direction

ALWAYS IN YOUR VOICE
• Choose soprano, mezzo-soprano, contralto, tenor, baritone or bass, or set your own lowest and highest notes
• Every start note and every target stays inside your range

LEVELS
• From seconds, thirds and fifths up to the tritone and sevenths, ascending and descending
• The tolerance tightens from ±50 to ±25 to ±15 cents
• Easy levels let you hear the interval first
• Custom practice: your own intervals, directions and tolerance

MORE TO SING
• Scales: major, natural and harmonic minor, pentatonics
• Arpeggios: major, minor and seventh chords
• Short melodies to sight-sing from the staff
