After trying a few apps to learn chinese, I think this is the best one for writing! Love the wide selection of decks available and the comprehensive explanation for each character.

I have been learning Chinese on my own for many years, but my reading and writing proficiency only really improved after I started using Skitter. The app has the option to choose between traditional/simplified characters, and boohoo/pinyin. The only downside is that the app is quite pricey and can be slow and buggy. However, a recent bug was solved quickly and efficiently (when customer support came back to work after the weekend!) so over all I am happy enough to give a 4+/5-star review.

Not free, you must pay a subscription! I'm really fed up with apks claiming they are free when I couldn't even try it without asking for a paid subscription. There is no free trial, I had troubles signing up and after getting an ID and password from the company, the next screen I saw was saying "Your trial has expired, subscribe ...". I didn't even have a chance to try it. My opinion? Don't waste your time and money on this, there are others TRULY free apks that are great.

The app was excellent until the most recent update. Takes ages to load and then sync. It tells you that cards are due, but when you try to access them, it just constantly loads with no resolution. Shame as this app is typically excellent, but this app is effectively broken as of now for me.

It's buggy. I do my review, but every time there are synchronization problems. I do the steps suggested by the support, and I suddenly find 350+ reviews and the words learned in the past days are unlearned. Use Anki. If this happens when you reach thousands of characters it becomes a mess.
