Once I set Wi-Fi setting to the more general "electron Wi-Fi" instead of one specific to my telescope model (8 SE), it runs the telescope well. It's much easier to select targets visually from this sky map than it is to pick ones from a text list.

This is the best portable Planetarium program I have ever encountered. Deep database, easy to use interface, and can control a telescope. Better yet, it can share data and observing lists with your laptop or iPad. Inexpensive enough to allow you to buy another copy. They upgrade regularly. Sky Safari Pro 7 is a noticeable improvement.

I have used Sky Safari 6 Pro for a while, but it has suddenly stopped working for my Electron Wi-Fi which is a known problem that the developers know about, and I've been waiting for several months for fix. I ended up getting Sky Safari 7 plus as a short-term fix. It seems to me they're more interested in selling Sky Safari 7 than fixing known problems with Sky Safari 6
