Smart Vision Assist

Vision Assist is a smart mobile application designed to support visually impaired and low-vision users by using the phone camera and advanced AI technologies to describe surrounding objects and indoor environments in real time.

The app helps users understand what is around them and make safer navigation decisions inside rooms, homes, offices, or other indoor spaces.

Real-time object detection
Detects common indoor objects such as chairs, tables, doors, people, and obstacles using the phone camera.

Voice description (Text-to-Speech)

Two scanning modes

Camera Scan Mode
Uses standard camera-based object detection to describe surroundings on any Android device.

ARCore Scan Mode
Uses Google ARCore on supported devices to measure more accurate distances to objects and provide enhanced spatial awareness.

Distance awareness
Helps users understand how far objects are, reducing the risk of collision while moving indoors.
