Description by TheYourList(from Google Play)
Phone speaker too quiet? Headphones that sound thin? Sonora is a precision sound engine for your phone. Turn one dial and every app gets louder and fuller — Spotify, YouTube, podcasts, films — while a limiter keeps the peaks clean.
LOUDER, WITHOUT THE CRACKLE Most volume boosters just add gain until the speaker distorts. Sonora runs the whole signal through a mastering-style chain built on Android's DynamicsProcessing: pre-amp, equalizer, multiband compression and a limiter that is always on. The Gain dial goes from 100% to 125% on the free plan and up to 200% with Pro, and the readout under it shows how hard the limiter is working, so you always know the headroom you have left.
TUNE IT LIKE A STUDIO • 5-band equalizer with studio-style faders, free • 10-band Precision EQ from 31 Hz to 16 kHz with Q-factor and pre-amp (Pro) • The response curve on screen is the exact curve the engine applies — no guessing • Bass knob for warmth, Dynamic Sub-Bass for a tight low end below 90 Hz (Pro) • 3D Space widens the stereo image on headphones (Pro) • Presets: Flat, Pop and Voice free; Reference, Warm, Deep Bass, Rock, Hip-Hop, Electronic, Acoustic, Jazz, Classical, Podcast, Cinema, Late Night and Air & Detail with Pro
EVERY DEVICE, ITS OWN SOUND Sonora sees what you are playing on — phone speaker, wired headphones, Bluetooth earbuds, a speaker or your car. With Device Memory (Pro) it keeps a sound for each one and switches the moment it connects. New devices start from a curve made for their kind: earbuds, headphones, speaker, car or phone.
HEAR THE DIFFERENCE BEFORE YOU PAY Hold the dial to compare with the original, level-matched so you judge the tone rather than the volume. Every Pro feature has a 15-second Live Audio Preview: switch it on and hear it on whatever is playing. If nothing is, Sonora plays its own demo loop.
BUILT LIKE HARDWARE Machined dials with a haptic detent on every step, studio faders, a single signal-orange accent on graphite or titanium. Turn the dial and the engine starts — one touch.
SONORA PRO • Extreme Clarity Boost up to 200% with the Smart Anti-Distortion Limiter • 10-band Precision EQ with Q-factor and pre-amp • Dynamic Sub-Bass and 3D Space • Device Memory for every headphone, speaker and car • All studio presets and unlimited custom presets • No ads, ever Yearly with a 3-day free trial, monthly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel any time in Google Play. Prices are shown in your currency before you buy.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sonora adjusts the sound your phone plays, on the phone. It never records, has no microphone permission and never uploads audio. The Bluetooth permission is only used to show your headphones' name for Device Memory. While the engine runs, Android shows a small notification with Pause and Turn off.
GOOD TO KNOW • Works system-wide on most phones. If your phone blocks whole-phone effects, switch to per-app mode in Compatibility; it works with players that support equalizers. • Some phone makers stop background apps to save battery. If the sound goes back to normal after a while, allow Sonora to run in the background.
PROTECT YOUR HEARING Boosted volume on headphones for long periods can damage hearing. Sonora asks before going above 150% on headphones; keep the level comfortable and take breaks.
