This app is genuinely amazing. I fully recommend it if you're traveling, and you just cannot wait to walk up to a computer and see your photos! Transfer speed is fast (on my A6700 on 5GHz at least). And so far, no bugs. Well done Sony.

Blocks importing HEIF on all Android devices, forcing you to shoot in the inferior JPEG format or to shoot RAW, requiring post-processing. I don't care if my phone can display 10 bit HEIF or not (it can), just let me decide what I do with the devices I bought and the photos I shot. To add insult to injury, contacting Sony using the email address provided here gets you this automated response: Please note that this application is unsupported. We will delete the e-mail you have sent us for inquiry

Can't cancel images import. Only gives the option to resume import. I don't want to. Also images downloaded in the wrong order. Super frustrating!!! You made the app worse. Customer service is terrible.

Location linkage turns itself off constantly. Incapable of keeping itself connected to the camera

Sony does overcomplicate the job. Half the time, it does not find the camera, and so it is not possible to transfer the photos. Canon does it much simpler and more efficient.
