All I can say folks is I was lucky.... the advert got good response quickly and then slowed down as quick, but I got lucky. Do your due diligence and don't accept the first request, I had an absolute nutter who demanded an answer although no reference from landlord or employer... an absolute nutter so pleased do your research on any prospective tenant guy's. Spare Room has done an amazing job for me so thank you guy's.

No option to filter by ads only by agents, when I choose option no live in landlords it still shows me people who sublet their rooms, so it's kinda useless, wish there was option for only agents live out landlords edit almost 5 months passed, and it's even worse now, it keeps showing me current flatmate ads instead of no live in landlord just a normal hmo with random people, why can't you just add an only agents filter?

You av to pay incase if u want to reach any landlord. In the era of Airbnb and other modern apps, they will ask u for subscription if u want to reach any landlord. Strongly not recommended.

You get spammed by users who don't read your profile and just send messages to everyone, even ones that are way above your budget. They delete your chats and quickly, so if you want to have a record of what you've talked about with your landlord or tenant, take a screenshot of all your messages. The (male) landlord I found on the app turned out to be a liar and who even harassed me. The app didn't provide a way to report him. Doesn't seem like they care about your security.
