I Don't Understand the Bad Reviews I have been using Square Wallet for the past several months. I did not have any problems with configuring the account with various credit cards (AMEX, Visa), and have used it across several devices - phones and tablets. I tested the app at various vendors, including Starbucks and other independent vendors, who accepted this form of payment, and have had NO ISSUES whatsoever. The barcode that is used to scan at Starbucks, works just like their rewards card barcode. No problem. Used at work, when getting lunch at various restaurants and food trucks in the DC area. Again, no problem. Payment to these people are are quick, and accurate. So, I can only guess that the problems a few people are experiencing is due to human/operator error, either on their end, or at the vendor. Will continue to use this form of payment whenever I can. My only wish is that more businesses and restaurants utilized this service. I cringe everytime I give my credit card to a waitress at some chain restaurant, and she comes back 10 min later with it.

Innovative but beware! When it works it works! But payments is not about how to make it work. It is about what do you do when it doesn't, as in when there is fraud. Today my bank is regulated to take fraud liability when I use their brand. Clearly it is Square's brand here and not my bank's brand. Will Square take the liability if I use Square wallet instead of the bank's card? Somehow I doubt that. So user beware! @snarend

Taxi cab owner I installed square for business purposes but can't charge my patrons using the square app. Only allows me to pay other businesses, not what I need.

No way to search You can't search local businesses without signing up first. I'd like to know if this app is useful outside of your starbucks contract.

Beware! Unauthorised $2 Charge!! For some unknown reason, a $2 was charged to my card as "Verification Fee" when I was merely setting up the account. No where in the info or description mentioned about this charge. This is an illegal charging for downloading, installing & setting up with this apps! GooglePlay please take note! :-(
