Step Counter - Steptrail

Steptrail is a step counter and pedometer that counts your steps all day with your phone's built-in step sensor, light on battery and fully private. See today's steps on a calm progress ring, follow your history, track walks with time, pace and route, and keep your streak going. No account, no sign-up, and your data stays on your phone.

STEP COUNTER THAT KEEPS COUNTING
• Automatic step counting with the phone's low power step sensor, in your pocket, hand or bag
• Keeps counting after a restart and across midnight, with steps placed in the right hour and day
• Keep counting mode for phones that close apps in the background, plus a short battery guide for your phone brand
• Pause counting for car rides or when the phone is not with you
• Phones without a step sensor can count with the motion sensor while Keep counting is on
• Works offline: no internet needed to count steps

STEPS TRACKER AND HISTORY

The free version shows a small number of ads, never over the ring or during a walk. Premium unlocks year and all-time insights, splits and pace charts, the Pro badge collection, goals by weekday, ring colours and CSV export, and removes all ads. Some Pro features can also be opened once by watching a short video.

QUESTIONS
Does this pedometer drain the battery? Steptrail reads the step sensor, a low power chip, so it uses very little battery. GPS is used only during a walk with route recording.
Why did my step counter stop? Some phones close apps to save power. The battery guide in Settings shows the two settings to change, and Keep counting keeps the app running.
Can it count 10000 steps a day? Set any goal you like, 10,000 steps or a smaller one that fits your day. The smart goal suggests a fit as it learns your days.
Is it a medical device? No. Steptrail is a wellness app. Step counts, distance and calories are estimates. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise program.
